Rough Cut

We produced a rough cut to allow us to see what the finished product will look like. To produce this we quickly put together the clips which we were going to use and did some editing, after the rough cut was put toegther we were then able to change the smaller details and add more effects. I think our rough cut clearly shows the quality that the final video will look like and gives a feel for what will be produced.

To complete the video we still need to edit more of the green screen by adding in a variety of interesting and colourful backgrounds, in some cases we also need to add in more clips as currently a few shots last too long or are ourt of focus, this may need us to re-film parts. As this is only a rough cut and is only to get a rough idea of the finished product, it does not last the full lenghth of the song whereas the actuall finished video will.

To make the backgrounds I used photoshop to build up an image useing layers. This allowed each part of the image to be seperate and become movable when put into final cut. This was simple and easy to do once i worked out that it would work in final cut however as each shot had to be different I needed to create many backgrounds for each shot to make sure that the video was constantly changing and keeping the audience's attention.
